Protection starts before any physical response
Shanmai Self-Defence draws on Wing Chun, Eskrima and Mike's practical experience. It begins with awareness, prevention, distance management, communication and the ability to recognize when a situation is deteriorating.
When action becomes necessary, the goal is to use simple, direct responses suited to the situation. Exercises are taught progressively in a controlled, respectful environment without fear-based messaging.

You are not learning to seek conflict. You are learning to avoid it, keep your bearings and protect yourself if necessary.
